Launching A Kids Podcast At a Public Media Station - PRX and PBS Stations

Public media stations are uniquely qualified to produce and launch accessible, educational podcasts. The Ready To Learn Podcast Accelerator from PRX, PBS KIDS, and CPB has been innovating with PBS stations to launch a new fleet of on-demand audio programming and podcasts for both kids and adults in their lives. In this session, we will share and illustrate PRX’s audience first approach to launching a podcast for kids and families. In addition, we will hear the enlightening stories of four different stations from across the U.S. that have participated in PRX’s design process and the podcasts that they developed for their communities, including The WNET Group, Ball State PBS, East Tennessee PBS, and KERA.
